This page explains what information Balance eComTraining collects when you register for our free Amazon masterclass, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We keep this in plain English on purpose.

Who We Are

Balance eComTraining is run by Barrington McIntosh, based in Kingston, Jamaica. You can reach us any time at info@barringtonmcintosh.com.

What We Collect

When you register for the masterclass, we collect:

Your first name and last name
Your email address
Your phone number
Analytics and advertising identifiers, such as the Meta Pixel / fbclid, UTM parameters from the ad you clicked, your country (derived from your IP address), and your browser's user agent

Why We Collect It

We use this information to:

Register you for the masterclass and send you the class link
Send reminders and event-related messages by email, WhatsApp, or SMS
Measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads are working, so we can keep the class free and reach more people

The Meta Pixel & Advertising Cookies

This site runs Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising and uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code that lets us see when someone who clicked our ad also registered for the class. It also helps Meta show our ads to people likely to be interested. The Pixel uses cookies and similar identifiers (like fbclid and UTM parameters) in your browser.

To opt out of Meta's ad tracking, you can adjust your ad preferences directly in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, or use a browser tool like the Global Privacy Control or an ad-blocking extension. Turning off cookies in your browser will also stop the Pixel from working on your visit.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run the class:

Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — for the Pixel and ad measurement described above
Google — we store registration data in Google Sheets
Cloudflare — we store some registration data in Cloudflare KV, a data-storage service that helps our registration page load quickly

Each of these companies processes data under its own privacy policy and security practices.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your registration information for as long as we need it to run the masterclass, follow up with you, and keep basic records of who attended. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we're required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason.

Your Rights

You can ask us to:

Show you what information we have about you
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your information

This masterclass is independent training. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, or Instagram.

Children's Privacy

This class and this site are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our tools or process change. The date at the top will always show the latest version.
